  • Chris Pronger may be off the market today.  Believed to be one of the biggest names moved on deadline day, Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray informed the All-Star defensemen he does not plan to move him today.  But this is the NHL.  This is the trade deadline.  Stay tuned. -10:00am
  • Expect the Toronto Maple Leafs to move both Dominic Moore and Nik Antropov today.  -11:00am
  • The Calgary Flames and Phoenix Coyotes and discussing a trade involving Olli Jokinen.  A deal is expected to happen at some point today.  -11:30am
  • It appears that the Jay Bouwmeester sweepstakes are still down to only the Philadelphia Flyers and Vancouver Canucks.  -1:08pm
  • New reports say that Dominic Moore is not heading to Chicago, but is expected to move today.  -1:56pm UPDATE
  • The Pittsburgh Penguins are in the market for Jarkko Ruutu and Bill Guerin.  -1:27pm


  • The Pittsburgh Penguins have claimed F Craig Adams off of waivers from the Chicago Blackhawks.  Also Miroslav Satan cleared waivers.  -12:05pm
  • In the Guerin trade, the conditional draft pick is currently a 5th round pick, it becomes a 4th round pick if the Pens make the playoffs, and a 3rd round pick if the Pens win a playoff series  -2:09pm
  • * This was not a 3 team trade, in a sense it was two separate trades involving some repeat players, and what is shown is the end result
