Meet Mike Rupp

This is what he likes to do …

Flames Devils Hockey

However, one time he scored.  It was a big goal …

Mike Rupp’s stats look like this in his NHL career …

Never considered a scoring winger, Rupp is there to add physicality to every game.  He’s had consistency in his last three years, playing in about 70 games each season.

His signing likely means the end of Eric Godard in Pittsburgh.

At 6-5, 230 pounds, he’s a physical force.  He can possibly go to the net and create problems.  Really, he’s a guy that does a few things good.  He’s not great in any area, but you know what you’re getting from him when he hits the ice.

He’s a fourth-line forward that thinks muscle first, defense second, offense third.

It’s a nice addition.  The Penguins will likely be able to use him more than Godard.

Being that he’ll be staying the in the division, we as fans could have gotten to enjoy the rivalry he and former Ranger Colton Orr developed.  However, Orr signed with Toronto because he was scared.

When the Pens and Leafs play, look out for that bought.

Here’s some good videos of fights he has won …
